Age Gaps

Age Gap Age is no question to relationship these days. One could either be too young or too old for the other. What a couple really holds on to is the love they have for each other. But reality still strike when it comes to character and attitude due to a person’s age. This is where the problem arises. One could be doing something that is considered as absurd to his/her partner. But as the saying goes, when there is a problem, there will always be solutions to have it fixed. 1) Dressing up Younger generations go for clothes that are either to bold or to showy. Bold in the sense that the colors are just too strong for a young lady or lad to be wearing, like too black or too neon. Showy in the manner that whole skin anatomy of the person is exposed to the naked eye. Older generations prefer the well covered young lady and a decently dressed young lad as those who tend to be attending the Sunday mass service. SOLUTION: Both have to discuss the matter of clothes to be worn on daily basis and on occasions. Just like schools and offices as they set their proper dress codes. One has to keep in mind that as a couple, each one reflects the other. Your partner is your own reflection. The colors of clothes each one wears reflect their emotions, their way of thinking and their life itself. As to avoid arguments, ask your partner why he/she would prefer such and then let your partner look at himself/herself in front of the mirror picturing you as the one wearing it. Fashion is good but not all that fashion gives is good for everyone when worn. Explaining to your partner that the clothes he/she wears is the image he/she wants people to see in him/her. Respect each other’s right to choose the kinds of clothes to wear. BUT always take into consideration how it would reflect with you together. 2) Having fun Younger generations find enjoyment and fun with games using their iPad, tablets, smartphones, notebooks and all the high end gadgets they can hold on to. While for older generations, enjoyment and fun for them is having it with nature most of the time. SOLUTION: Yes, let your partner go with the trend of having these gadgets that the 21st century offers. But their lives should not only revolve within the time and space of Temple Run, Candy Crush, Facebook, and Twitter as few of the internet world’s domain since fun is not just inside the internet world. Let your partner join you for a romantic walk in the park, fishing in the lake, joy ride to country sides, swimming in the pool or just a barbeque at the backyard. Then let your partner do his/her magic with all the gadgets at hand to provide the music, the pictures and the videos to catch every moment spent. Age is no question when it comes to having fun. Both can play games using the Kinect and Xbox. It could even be healthy competition for both. Combining each generation’s way of having fun can create priceless moments of shared laughter. These are just two examples of reasons why each generation tend to argue and disagree affecting the relationship at hand. But no matter how big the age gap is, there will always be a bridge to connect them to work together, have fun together and live together. COMMUNICATION and ACCEPTANCE are the main keys to have the relationship work out.
